Here are some reinforcing activities to support the work you have done…

The next step is to engage in some focused practice that reinforces your learning and deepens it into your subconscious.

Consciously connecting this new learning to specific events, people and activities strengthens your mind’s ability to create new habits and actions.

When you imagine, visualize and put yourself in the feeling of the (^) words frequently, you “pave the pathway” we worked on together. Here are some examples (not scripts – remember, you are learning a new way of speaking to yourself!) to support the “filling of the file folders” in your subconscious, allowing you to transform the new learning into habit.

1. Using specific examples in these kinds of reinforcing statements from our session will support your learning. Create the energy of your re-patterned words (^) out loud:

~  A. In the evening, review your day just before you go to sleep:

 • I experienced ____(^)_____ when I ________

 • I felt _____(^)________ when I __________

Ex. I felt confident when I was speaking with Marie about the presentation. I experienced confidence when I tidied the kitchen. If your Inner Critic responds with “You didn’t experience _____ (^) once today”, do something to create that emotion right away – for example:

 • I am confidently (^) drinking this glass of water, I AM building my confidence!

 • I chose my outfit tomorrow in a confident way. I AM consciously creating more confidence!

This allows your mind to relax into sleep and work on the positive thoughts and emotions all night – while you are sleeping!

~ B. In the morning, use the words to think about and plan your day:

• I’m looking forward to feeling ___(^)____, when I am _______

• Today I’ll feel ___(^)____ while I am _____________

Ex. Today’s meeting with Joe gives me an opportunity to be confident.

This gives your mind the instruction to notice positive thoughts and emotions in yourself and others – while you are going about your day!

~ C. During the day, create and reinforce theses feelings while you are going about your regular activities - during exercise or TV commercials, while driving or walking the dog, integrate the words into your meditation or journaling … bring the feelings to consciousness.

 • I feel ___(^)____ when I _______

 • That’s ___(^)____ and I am increasing it! _____________

You can also reinforce your learning by looking for examples or modeling from others:

 • That’s confidence, and I like it!

 • Mary isn’t feeling confident, I choose to deepen my confidence by supporting her.

 • This situation is an opportunity for me to increase my confidence and I am free to step into it!

This furthers reinforces and makes connections in your mind

Additional Tips:

~ Focus on one or two of the (^) words each day.

~ Trying to “do” all of them may be too much.

~ Use a journal to note your observations, changes, awarenesses. The changes may be small, however the changes ARE happening, and the more you acknowledge and reinforce the incremental shifts in perception, the more quickly the new pattern moves into habit!

~ Make several copies of your words – on your screen saver, beside your bed, on the inside of your car’s visor, carry one in your pocket or purse.

~ Mix up the order of the words, creating new phrases and combinations. When you repeat exactly the same thing over and over you create doubt. If you miss a day, or a time – just pick it up another day.
